Im a garden, landscape and urban designer with an enduring passion for nature and the great outdoors. I was fortunate to spend lots of time in the English and European outdoors and this begun my love for the outside, I've always had an innate curiosity of how things work, whether that be man made or made by nature and i'm lucky that my career has steered me to the design and making of landscapes and gardens. Id like to think that my range of experience in architecture, public spaces as well as gardens has given me a unique take and understanding of what an outside space can deliver whether in a bold decisive way or simply a practical response to constraints.

I love using all kinds of natural materials with planting and see an ideal garden design as a microcosm of life in miniature. Incorporating informal play space for young children, whether logs to balance on or trees to swing from, sensory elements for touch and smell for those not so young or lucky! wildlife friendly sections: to recognise we have a duty of care to insects, bees and birds, trees and shrubs - elements that move in the wind, creating drama and life on the greyest of days, or just pleasant places to sit and relax.

The advantages of a garden are endless, they promote happiness and well being and each different garden gives something unique to the person lucky enough to guide, nurture and inhabit their own personal space.
